I am considering giving up my car, since peak oil is past and anthropogenic global warming is happening now, so we need to save oil for making those items which we cannot make any other way - such as high-tech advanced medical equipment and pharmaceuticals - rather than burn it up just to move vehicles. We should use electricity to power as much as possible. Solar-and-wind-power ed, of course.

Translating Natural Language to Formal Logic in Law and Justice Translating Natural Language to Formal Logic in Law and Justice
Posted by: nahaymath

Video duration: 581 seconds

Sketching the ideas of a formal mathematical theory or system of justice.
First step for the viewer: translating statements in natural language into formal symbolic systems.

Atmospheric properties 3 of 3 Atmospheric properties 3 of 3
Posted by: nahaymath

Video duration: 514 seconds

I prove that the formula for pressure, density and temperature as a function of altitutde, x, over a hypothetical flat earth of infinite area yields results consistent with observation.

Global Warming Discrete Version 2 of 2 Global Warming Discrete Version 2 of 2
Posted by: nahaymath

Video duration: 512 seconds

I continue my 2-part lecture, explaining why ever-decreasing high and low temperatures do not contradict global warming.

Global Warming Discrete Version 1 of 2 Global Warming Discrete Version 1 of 2
Posted by: nahaymath

Video duration: 592 seconds

I demonstrate with a very simple model why an ever-decreasing sequence of low and high temperatures do not disprove global warming.

Species 5 of 5 Species 5 of 5
Posted by: nahaymath

Video duration: 223 seconds

I now include the sentience-pain-level of specimens eaten/killed from each species.
I mention that the total sentience level can have a maximum or a local minimum with respect to time, t.
In this model, the global maximum occurs if nobody is eaten or killed.
Future models will include starvation.

Video duration: 314 seconds

Demonstration of the higher partial derivative chain formula for z=f(y(1),...,y(n)) where y(i)=f(i; x(1),...,x(m)) for each i from 1 through n. In this case, I choose n=3 and m=2.

I discovered the Powersum Formula for linear differential resolvents
of a polynomial on 1997 September 24 while staying overnight in a friend's apartment
Society Hill Apartments in Piscataway.
